Dealing with Anxiety in Times of Uncertainty

In uncertain times daily life can be a struggle. Simple tasks can become complicated with all the noise happening around us. Anxiety can creep up and make even the simplest of things unmanageable. It is essential to understand what is happening and steps you can take to mitigate your stress. Here are a few tips that can help relieve anxiety.

Live in the Present

Learn how to live in the present. Try to find a relaxing space to meditate or simply take deep breaths. Breathe in and out slowly for some time and try not to let you mind race. Focus on the breaths and just be in the moment. Letting go of all the daily stress can help you feel less anxious.

Take a Break from the Screens

Take a break from all the noise you see on TV. News programs can be stressors if you consume too much of it. Consider taking a break from watching the news. The world will still go on if you miss a few days. Try switching to reading the news or other publications instead. Focus on the positive and try not to dwell on the negative. There is enough negativity out there that can drown out anything good happening in your life.

Move Your Body

Get Some Rest

Ensure you are getting enough sleep and try to steer clear of bad habits, such as drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. These can add to your anxiety.
